5 Ways to Pray for the Middle East & North Africa

With its ongoing conflicts, the Middle East and North Africa have many critical needs that require prayer. Ministry partners have shared their concerns with Karim Saleh, Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa at ANM. He has asked for prayer for his region’s ongoing, difficult situations.

5 Ways to Pray:

  1. Please pray for Syrian refugees who lost everything — their community, homes, business, and land. They live in refugee camps in tents in very harsh conditions with many needs. Ask God to provide all their needs, such as blankets, shoes, food, and specifically jackets for kids that help them survive in cold weather.
  2. In the Middle East, 89 percent of the people are Muslims. We need to pray for Christian believers that God will give them boldness, wisdom, and anointing to start conversations to talk with Muslims. Please pray that God gives them a clear message for the Muslims.
  3. Please pray for Muslim people to see God’s love and hear God’s words. Muslims do not like to hear about Jesus. Pray against a spirit of false religion.
  4. Pray for Muslim background believers who live in persecution, are weary from the persecution, and walk through suffering. Sometimes they deny Jesus. We need to stand in the gap for the believers. Pray that God the Holy Spirit will touch their hearts. The Kingdom of God needs these people, and these people need Jesus again.
  5. Please pray for the children of Muslim background believers, as these children are born Muslims and have to keep their Muslim I.D. cards. The children study Islam in school because their I.D. card says “Muslim.” When they go home, they learn about Jesus. This is very confusing. They need to see Islamic information as a bridge to open doors for them to talk about Jesus Christ. Pray God will give them the wisdom to use the Islamic materials as historical materials, not as religious materials.

Karim responded,

“Thank you so much for your prayers. Believe me. Your prayer is very important… God bless you. Thank you.”

God is moving mightily in the Middle East and North Africa in response to the prayers being prayed.
