Internship Details

The mission of Advancing Native Missions is to advocate for, encourage, and equip indigenous missionaries around the world to hasten world evangelization. Our calling and vision is found in Matthew 24:14: “And this Gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” As part of the SERVE internship program, interns will serve alongside staff and join us in this calling.

OFFICE ROLE – an opportunity to serve according to your passions and to learn new skills

Interns will be placed in a primary role/position during their term based on ANM’s assessment of their passions and skill set, matching those with the needs in the office. Potential positions include Administration, Event Planning, Graphic Design, International Desk Director Shadow, Next Generation Assistant, Research, Warehouse Assistant, Women’s Ministry Assistant, Writing and Editing, and Videography. Interns will have opportunities to serve in other areas on a weekly basis, including but not limited to administration, receipting, hospitality, warehouse, grounds, etc.

MENTORSHIP – an opportunity to be discipled

Interns will be matched with a mentor (ANM staff member) throughout their term at ANM. They will meet with their assigned mentor on a weekly basis for a minimum of 15 minutes and monthly for at least one hour. This time is set aside for them to share what the Lord is doing in their lives, ask questions, and seek counsel through prayer and God’s Word.

BOOK STUDIES – an opportunity to learn

Interns will be assigned one book each month. Each week they will meet with fellow interns for a one-hour discussion of the reading led by an ANM staff member. After completing each book interns may be asked to give a written or oral response in order to share what they have learned.

MISSIONARY CHATS – an opportunity to build relationships

Interns will meet with visiting missionaries in order to get to know them personally, and learn
about their culture, ministry, and prayer needs.

DOMESTIC TRAVEL – an opportunity to advocate

Interns may be asked to travel with ANM staff and missionaries to visit churches and/or assist with
events and conferences.

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL – an opportunity to visit (for year long term only)

Interns may have the opportunity to take a trip overseas to visit one or more of ANM’s ministry partners. This is an optional opportunity, and each intern is responsible to raise the total cost of travel expenses.
