About This Cause

The 2018 monsoon season has been exceptionally harsh in the southern Indian state of Kerala. More than 600,000 Indians lost their homes because of landslides and flooding, while over 480 lives were lost. It is the worst flooding in the region in almost a century.

Advancing Native Missions’ partner in Kerala, New Hope Mission, responded swiftly to the disaster. Unfortunately, their resources are not nearly enough to meet the needs of the thousands in their communities whose lives have been devastated by the floods. Please consider donating to help alleviate the great suffering caused by this terrible natural disaster. New Hope Mission will use incoming funds to purchase and distribute basic necessities including food (rice, beans, biscuits, sugar, and cooking oil), hygiene kits, bed sheets, mosquito nets, mats, blankets, flash lights, and much more. Funds will also help rebuild key ministry facilities.

Local Christians hope that their efforts at this crucial time will touch hearts in this predominately Muslim community.
