About This Cause

Motivated by a burden for lost souls coupled with a compassion for needy children, Alex and Eunice Malanday started Church Builders Ministry in 1993. It is located in Guimaras, a small island in Central Philippines accessible only by boat. To carry out their vision of planting churches on this island, Alex and Eunice go to different areas and establish free village Christian kindergartens, often meeting under mango trees. The children then go home and tell their parents what they learn about Jesus. By God’s grace, many parents choose to receive Christ as Savior. The Malandays then start Bible studies in a local home, which eventually gives birth to a church. Later a building may be constructed that is used as a school during the week and as a church on Sundays.

Since its inception, Church Builders Ministry has established at least six kindergarten schools, four organized churches, and five outreaches. YOU can support the Malandays in this venture and be blessed in partnering in God’s Kingdom growth in the Philippines.
